Axolotl’s scope

Develop the applied terracotta surface for articulated aluminium façade blades.

Materials and processes

Applied Terracotta over aluminium.

The challenge and response

The façade blades needed to turn around an axis and lock into position. Aluminium provided the required movement and form, while the applied terracotta supplied the intended colour and texture.
