Glass Houses

This beautiful bathroom is a complete study in glass with every surface a shining testimony to its beauty.

Stephen Varady designed the bathroom, specifying heavy weight glass for the bath and shower screens and colour backed glass for the walls and floor.

Glass is a natural alternative to tiles, boasting the same easy care properties but with a broader creative palette that is much more unique.

Axolotl can design and manufacture to any specification and creative vision, in and out of the bathroom. Give us a call if you would like to discuss how you can turn your design project into a glass masterpiece.

Jewel in the Crown

The Lustre range developed by Axolotl has certainly created a stir and it’s easy to see why.

The counter and cupboards pictured here were specified for Macquarie Bank in Melbourne and manufactured in Lustre ‘Onyx’ to create a contemporary and unique look.

Exclusive to Axolotl and with six beautiful satin finishes in the range, the glass panels can be carved to any design or backlit to create signage or feature walls.

Tall Wall

Pictured is one of two feature walls that were created for the Swire Group for Three Pacific Place in Hong Kong.

Constructed from over 1000 square metres of glass, the scale of this feature wall is only apparent when you view the person riding the escalator alongside it.

The first layer of glass panels feature Axolotl’s ‘Veil’ formed glass. The inner layer contains the Budha’s image printed to the laminated glass interlayer.

The wall is backlit to stunning effect.

Both walls were manufactured in Australia before being shipped to Hong Kong

Transparently Beautiful

One hundred and eight formed glass panels were manufactured to individual specification for this project at a Mascot business park.

Designed by Turner Associates and PMDL the beauty and versatility of formed glass is truly apparent when seen on this feature wall.

The glass is 10mm thick clear float glass with a custom ‘Spotzone’ texture.

Institute of Sport

Axolotl’s Pearl Lustre glass was the material of choice for the NSW Institute of Sport’s new premises at Olympic Park. The feature wall designed by Leffler Simes, is repeated in illuminated signage, whereby creating coloured areas with the lightbox takes Lustre into a whole new dimension.

And with Axolotl’s new Protektzone sealer coat specifically developed for Lustre glass, you can be confident that your glass will continue to light up your project way after other materials may have faded into the background.

Rusty Meccano

Dimension and depth are demonstrated here in Axolotl’s Meccano wall in rust. The panels, which are supplied by Axolotl, can be utilized for internal or external design projects as is, or be custom manufactured to any size.

Any of Axolotl’s metal and effects can be applied to create something truly unique and installation is quick and simple.

Rusty Façade

This stunning façade designed by Liquid Architecture is a fine example of the beauty of decayed elegance created by a rust finish.

The CFC panels were bonded with Axolotl Brown Rust and mechanically fixed to the wall.

With more choice in colours and textures, our ability to work with compound curves and embossed and debossed panels, and our superior experience and expertise makes Axolotl Metal the superior choice for rust.

The panels are also lightweight for ease of installation which contributes to cost savings.

Glow

This entry blade wall at the Burbank Centre at Norwest features a durable translucent finish to the front face and a coloured application to the back face, the glass is suitable for a range of applications including external work.

The matt face of the glass is baked on and replicates sandblasting but is easy to clean and maintain.

Wentworth Hotel gets Bronze

Our New Treasury Bronze has certainly proved a hit. Specified here in a cast texture and with a pearl patina applied, the metal was specified for columns. waiter stations, credenzas and servery tables at the Wenthworth Hotel's refurbishment.

Tresury Bronze combines traditional elegance with a contemporary overhaul. The pearl patina brings out the beautiful colours of the metals and creats a strong lustre.

The screens pictured were manufactured from mild steel and coated in Axolotl Brass with both a brown and black florentine.
