As we approach the close of yet another year, we’re taking a minute to reflect on some of the remarkable moments of 2023. The past year has been nothing short of extraordinary, filled with achievements, innovations, and collaborations that have left an indelible mark on our company's history.

We kicked off the year by undertaking a monumental project, coating 124 kitchens in Bronze and Aluminium for the new Renzo Piano designed building at One Sydney Harbour. This was the largest kitchen project on our records. The project team included some of the best in the business; Renzo Piano, Lendlease, PTW and State of Craft.

With careful planning and commitment to ensure the highest level of quality, our team ensured the successful completion of this prestigious project in the last quarter of this year. Whilst the build is still underway, we know this one is going to be special so watch this space for project updates.

We enjoyed the challenge of evolving our architectural surfaces into standalone artworks and objects; some of our favourites by Marcus Piper are shown here. The intersection of innovative and creative minds is always sure to create inspired design. It is one of the reasons we find collaboration to be the most exciting part of the design process, and we welcome the opportunity to work with all creatives.

Throughout the year, we continued to push the boundaries of design and craftsmanship. Two Foster and Partner buildings in Sydney and New York bore our signature touch, exemplifying our commitment to delivering outstanding results, no matter the location. We also had the privilege of crafting a stunning counter for the Built Machine Hall in their substation, designed by the talented team at YSG, shown at the top of this page.

In our pursuit of ever-expanding horizons, Axolotl proudly introduced several new innovations to our product range, including Ripple Stainless Steel, Linen Glass, and Zen Glass collections, all of which can be customised and turned into hybrid surfaces when combined with our vast array of existing products and processes. Innovation at Axolotl never rests, and we're excited to share that our R&D team is hard at work developing new surfaces that will be unveiled in the coming year, continuing to push the boundaries of what's possible in design.

Throughout the year, we shared our passion for design and craftsmanship through a series of captivating videos, showcasing "How We Evolve Possible." We also engaged in insightful conversations with industry luminaries, including interior designer Nina Maya and artist Jade Oakley, exploring the limitless possibilities of design in both art and architecture.

Our dedication to excellence has been consistently recognized by industry peers, and this year was no exception. We proudly accepted three more industry awards, bringing our total to a staggering 70 accolades. These awards serve as a testament to our unwavering commitment to quality and innovation.

None of this would have been possible without the incredible talent and dedication of the entire Axolotl team. We extend our deepest gratitude to every member of the Axolotl family and to all the designers, architects, artists, builders, and renovators who have entrusted us with their visions and projects.
